Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.3 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):
Administration
SPR# THUR5G22CP - Renaming a user or group to the same name (eg case change) no
longer causes deletion of name from File ACL.

To date, the only work around is to either always refresh the NAMES.NSF so that
newly renamed groups are displayed in the Groups view in Names.nsf and look for
the renamed group before renaming a group, or use the group types that will
express the error when the second rename is attempted. It is important to note
that refreshing the Groups view will NOT prevent the group from being deleted
from any databases ACL's if you proceed with the second rename. It will simply
display the new group name in the view.

The problem does not occur with ACLOnly or ServerOnly group types because
AdminP recognizes that a group with the same name already exists in the
Directory, and produces a response document with the error mentioned above.

Note: Even though the Groups view displays the old view name before a view
refresh, the 'Rename Group' dialog box is displayed with the following message
during a group rename which always contains the NEW group name:

Please enter the new name for the group. The current group name is: NEW NAME.
